Coach Hatcher:

Since this is the season for Thanksgiving I thought I would take time to commend

your organization in partnership with the US Army in the presentations to the

students of Norfolk. The Virginian - Pilot Newspaper gave an accurate

description to the students’ enthusiastic response to your message of high

standards thru fair play, honesty, integrity and sportsmanship. Your message that

a successful career is played by displaying common sense underlined by

uncommon discipline and persistence gave hope to all those students.

The Champions that shared their experiences and successes brought direction to

many of the students still asking themselves," What am I going to do today"? It is

my hope that you continue to follow up with the mentor component mention in the

assemblies. Each school is anticipating the next round of interaction. The phone

lines are ringing for our youth and many are taking calls and responding to calls

on the calling end that have negative consequences. Please keep making those

calls that will make all of our students eligible for success.
