
For over 67 years, the USO (United Service Organizations) has served as the primary bridge between the American people and America’s Armed Forces, delivering a unique combination of morale building, counseling, and recreational services to our troops and their families all over the world. The USO is perhaps best known for its celebrity entertainment tours – which transport the brightest Stars of Movies, Music, and Sports across the globe to perform for our men and women in uniform. Beyond this, however, the USO provides a remarkable array of vital services. All told, the more than 130 USO facilities in the United States and around the World are visited by more than 5,000,000 service members and their dependents each year.

NBA Cares is the league's social responsibility initiative that builds on the NBA's long tradition of addressing important social issues in the United States and around the world. Through this umbrella program, the NBA, its teams and players have committed to donating $100 million to charity, providing a million hours of hands on service to the community and creating 250 places where kids and families can live, learn or play. Since October 2005 through NBA Cares, the league, players and teams have raised more than $91 million for charity, donated more than 700,000 hours of hands-on volunteer service to communities worldwide, and built more than 330 places where kids and families can live, learn or play.

The Pentagon Channel broadcasts military news and information for the 2.6 million members of the U.S. Armed Forces. In addition to enhancing Department of Defense communications with the 1.4 million active duty service members, the Pentagon Channel will provide the 1.2 million members of the National Guard and Reserve and the 650,000 civilian employees of the Department of Defense more timely access to military information and news.

A national awareness and education program led by the NABC that focuses attention on the positive roles coaches play in the lives of today's student-athletes, the game of basketball and the community. The program includes the association's four core values: advocacy, leadership, service and education. Each core value provides coaches with a platform to effect positive changes within the game, among student-athletes and their communities.

NFL Charities is the cornerstone of the National Football League's commitment to community service. NFL Charities supports programs and initiatives that deliver education and youth services, designates funds to assist the foundations of current and former players working in local communities and awards sports-related medical research grants that advance the body of knowledge of sports medicine for professional and recreational athletes. *
